we're only having one - so what I've been doing is keeping anything that was from a memorable occasion (when he came home, baptism, easter, etc...) as well as a few items I just thought were WAY too cute to sell. We've been selling everything else to a local consignment shop, which helps us get the next size clothing. It's worked out really well. Also, we can't keep that much b/c we live in a condo, so we're limited to space...that really helps us get rid of a lot! GL!
We are planning on having another, but not TTC until next summer, which means the kids will be 3 or more years apart. Even if we have another girl I know I'll want to buy many new things (new styles, etc). I also see how much I've had to store in only 14 months and I can't imagine having to do it for almost 2 more years! I just wanted to see what others are doing
I sell everything (except for the outfit that she came home from the hospital in). If it is something that I really like, I put a high price on it. If it sells, great... if not, great!
I figure that the next baby (if it was a girl) could be born in a completely different season where the clothes wouldn't fit. I use the money that I make from selling her clothes to buy the next size up.
I've been keeping, but I'm starting to rethink this choice.
We're still on the fence about having another, and if we do, we won't even start to TTC until a year from now. As the boxes of clothes start piling up, I'm beginning to think that I should be selling. After all, styles will be very, very different by the time #2 comes along. And good grief are all of DC's clothes taking up a lot of room!
I think I'm going to start going through the boxes and pulling out a few sentimental items from each season. Somewhere down the like I plan on making a quilt.
As of right now: I'm keeping EVERYTHING! We plan to have another in a few years. I figure if it's a different gender or a different season, I can sell the clothes then...no harm done.
I'm afraid I'll get rid of things and then wish I hadn't when the next one comes...

Anything too sentimental we're keeping. Everything else is being donated. Either to DH's cousin who had a boy almost exactly a year after us or to my IL's church.
We're planning on having another baby but not for at least 3 or 4 years. I would rather the clothes be put to good use now than take up room in my attic. And who knows if our next DC will be a boy or a girl.
Right now i am keeping everything. If the next one is a boy then I will think about selling or giving away clothes. If it is a girl and a different season or size then I will sell them at that point. I was good at buying all the big stuff gender neutral and if I can reuse clothes than great. If not I have a friend with a son the same age as DD and she wants to try again when we have also decided to try again so hopefully I will have a boy and she will have a girl and we can just switch:)
We are keeping most everything. I would like 3 kids, so the gender won't matter until #3. I do go through it every few months though and take out stuff that I never did like or he didn't really ever wear. We got a lot of hand-me-downs, so I am passing what I don't like on to others or giving it to goodwill.
I give all of DS's clothes to my SIL who has a boy. They are TTC, so I'll give her DD's clothes if they end up having a girl. Otherwise I will either try to sell them or donate to Goodwill.

I am just like you. I am stopping saving. I also thought, what if one is a girl and one is a boy? What if one is born in the summer and one in the winter? What if someone is chubby and tall and the other one a shrimp? I am saving only the memorable, cutest stuff. I am planning to sell the rest

See if you have large consignment sales. They give you 70% of the price unlike consignment shops. They are usually only 2x a year, but that is what we do. https://www.kidsconsignmentsales.com/seasonalsales.htm
