anybody feel this way??

i have been so run down the last few days,  i feel im not gettin enough sleep ..  and all i wanna do is sleep..  maybe im just having a few down days but man its crazy...  ive never been this tired

  • Check iron and thyroid just to be sure.

    I did feel like that for a week or two in first tri. I was like the walking dead.

  • oh yeah, but I was up well past my bedtime nesting last night... and dd woke up at 3 am with a bad dream.

    Can you go to bed early tonight? get dh to give you a back rub after a hot bath... with scented oils... while feeding you chocolate and telling you how super you are?

    cause that always helps me ;)

  • I know exactly how you feel, I haven't wanted to venture out in thee world the past couple of days either. I would much rather stay in bed and catch a nap while watching the csi marathon. I feel so lazy but I figure it's probably good for baby to rest.
  • Have them check you iron.  This happened to me around 19 weeks and got progressively worse to the point I was too weak to walk up the stairs so I called the OB and bugged her nurse until they finally let me come in for a blood test.  I was pretty anemic, and they wouldn't have tested me until 28 weeks otherwise, so I would have been anemic for 9 weeks by the time they found it.  Right around 20 weeks is when most women will become anemic, its worth looking into!
  • Get your iron checked. I was anemic with my last pregnancy and that is right about when it kicked in.

  • I have been there! I have been exhusted and it bothers me because I am usually so active.....I feel just plain lazy at times. My DH reminds me that this is what happens when you have another person you are creating...I should know this (baby number 3).....but it has been 7 years.
  • I think it's the heat!  But like the other suggestions, make sure you are not anemic...I was anemic with one of my pregnancies and it really makes a huge difference!  Hope you get plenty of ZZZs tonight!
  • Me too!  I know that I'm not getting enough quality rest because every night recently I've been sitting up on the couch late dealing with heartburn and then waking up super early in the morning due to back pain. Seems like all I ever do is go to work first thing in the morning (sometimes running late) and when I get home there is time for dinner and not much else before bed.

    I think if you lead a busy hectic life its just very easy to fall behind on the extra rest you need while pregnant.  I'm hoping to catch up this three day weekend and see if that helps.

    Also, this was a tip from my DH which seems to be helping make sure you are drinking plenty of water especially in this heat.  Dr's said I need to drink extra water as pregnant anyway.  If you get a little dehydrated it can make you feel tired.
