Besides DH? I just got my BFP this morning and am only 4 weeks. I have an appointment with my doctor for a blood test after 6 weeks to confirm the pregnancy and don't really feel comfortable telling anyone until then, so I've sworn DH to secrecy. It's hard not to tell anyone though. How early did you start telling people and who did you tell first?

Re: Who/when did you tell first?
DS #1- Ares Christopher
DS #2- Taj Lee
DD #1 Alba Gray
Baby #4- coming in May
this + one really close friend.
Told my boss first, both times now. Other than that we kept DS a secret until we cleared the 1st trimester. We had told a couple of close friends too. This time we started telling family on Father's Day (10wks) and telling friends shortly after. Timing wise it was just easier to start telling people on Father's Day and we had only found out shortly before, so it wasn't even like we kept it a secret long.
First time around I knew I'd be out for a few appts and I wanted to be honest with my boss about why. This time around I nanny, and I wanted my boss to be able to start thinking about making back-up arrangements while I'm out, and let her know I absolutely want to come back afterwards too.
We have known for a month. We plan on telling my mom first on Sunday. We waited to see her in person and to hear the heartbeat/and the first appointment.
We will also tell the remainder of our families next week too, because we know our moms won't be able to keep a secret
We are telling both sets of parents tomorrow, on our 3 year anniversary. I'll be 4 weeks. We suffered a miscarriage in Jan '08 and never told anyone that we were expecting until we lost it. It was too tough on us to do alone. This time, I'm making sure I have a support system in place no matter what happens. On the other hand, we're waiting until next month to tell everyone else.

And this was the reason we shared with so many people right away. I had a 13 week loss, and having all that support was much needed. We figured this time, tell earlier (we even waited till 8 weeks last time) and get as many people as possible praying for a healthy baby from the get go!
