GD and Traveling

Did your doctor place any travel restrictions on you besides the normal pregnancy travel restrictions?  I have not meet with my doctor since being diagnosed with GD.  We have vacation planned at the end of July and I will be 31 weeks.  I am hoping I will still be able to go.

    Nope, no restrictions.  I flew back last week to Vermont, and I live in California.  This was at 31 weeks.  She just wrote me a note saying I could bring my glucometer on the plane, and that I was ok to travel just in case. 

    Granted the 8+ hours of travel was beyond uncomfortable it had nothing to do with my GD!

    No restrictions, I am going from Michigan to Seattle at 32 weeks and reverse at 33 weeks.  I am a bit nervous about traveling this late in pregnancy but if the doctor is not nervous I am trying not to be either.  Ultrasound tomorrow to make sure all is on track before travel.

    I also have no additional travel restrictions.  In fact, at my last appointment (34 weeks) my doc and I discussed a possible trip during my 36th week (this weekend.)  We were planning on discussing whether I can go or not at my appt. on Thursday, but I have decided not to go.

    no restrictions - went on a driving trip at 31 weeks (5 hours each way). Just had to bring medical records with me just in case :)

    That is good news!!  Thanks everyone!  I am looking forward to relaxing on the beach a couple days before the baby comes.
