Yes. ?Sucks b/c I keep getting sucked into cute bedding sets, but when I picture them without the bumper, they hardly seem worth it. ?I plan to get a custom sheet and skirt off of Etsy.

A friend is giving me a bumper that she isn't using (she was given 2). I guess it just depends on if I really like it or not. If it's breathable that would be a + but I don't think I really care about a bumper either way. They are used for such a short time.
We will be using a bumper at least for decoration... but we may take it off once our LO starts actually sleeping in his crib. Seems silly but it comes with the set and I think it looks nice.
Nope. They are purely decorative and serve no other real purpose. They are more of a hazard. I don't want my child to be part of the statistics that deem them unsafe.
We are not using one. I wanted to make my own, but DH read about the hazards so we decided not to use one. I don't think babies need one. I mean, seriously, how hard could an infant possibly bump his head on the sides. They aren't that strong.
Yes- we are not using a bumper per recommendations of books and child birthing class. I may consider it if I have a very active older baby who is capable of escaping a suffocation situation, but then you begin to get into, once they can stand, the baby using the bumper as a way to climb out of the crib.
I am just curious; how will those who are planning to remove the bumper once movement starts know when this will be? What if it begins in the middle of the night one night? I am not sure about the purpose of a bumper before movement..... I am a nervous nellie though.
We will be using one until the baby starts to move. Once movement starts then we'll take it out.
This.
Please do your research! It is more important that baby not have bumper in the bed when they're NOT moving... when SIDS risk is the highest (newborn to 3 months) they should not have bumper because it keeps air from circulating right where they are breathing.

No bumper..!
House is so stuffy that even DH and I can't sleep w/out a fan..?
I'd hate to put her down to sleep without proper air circulation.
This.
This. Then I'll put in a mesh bumper.
