QOTD: Any pet peeves lately?
Stacia: The way DH eats yogurt. It's like watching a cow chew its cud. The smacking is the worst!
Re: **Jingle Bellies Tuesday check-in**
I 2nd this.
Morons in movie theaters.
Seriously, the last two movies that I've gone to see have been practically ruined by some idiots that dared to go to the same showing as me...
When I went to see The Proposal, I sat next to some teenage girl that texted THE.ENTIRE.TIME. I finally had to nudge her and say "your texting is really obnoxious to those of us that want to enjoy the movie." Brat.
I saw My Sister's Keeper on Sunday, and some genius decided that it'd be the perfect film to bring a 3 year old to. They were on the other side of the theater, but I swear, that kid made noise THE.ENTIRE.TIME. They got up twice, but stood at the entrance to the theater--like that was any less annoying. As we walked out, I looked at the dad and said, "I hope your kid enjoyed the movie."
Again, morons.
Right this second its my Husband!!! OH MY GOSH!!! Yes maybe its my hormones but... I want him to leave on vacatoin!!!
and I work at a Lab we draw blood and I finally picked up the phone after answering 100 stupid questions today and said "thank you for calling the stupid question hotline can I help you?" LOL Im probably gonna get it tomorrow but it was so worth it!!!
I'm really not sure if I fit in to Jingle Bellies since I'm due the last day of December...?
Pet Peeve: People keep telling me "Oh you're not very far along" I don't know why, but it pisses me off.
Cinderellabella - I am so with you - people saying that has driven me insane!!! I hate it, and I swear I will never say it to anyone after hearing it so much. I find it very patronizing and rude.
Exactly.
people telling me how big my belly is already (this is my first pg and I'm tall and yes there's only one in there it's just how my uterus is positioned!)
omg me too! EVERYONE keeps asking how many I'm having!
THIS!
Being tired all the time!
The constant obsession with my pregnancy in general - people who normally don't talk to me are constantly asking about it
Being judged on what I'm eating/drinking/doing at anytime
Unsolicited advice, especially when its in regard to something I'm supposedly doing wrong
The price of everything!
I second being tired... I love how people say, oh, you'll get your energy back, and...not so much as of yet.
Make a pregnancy ticker
Agred!!
People (mostly my single female co-workers) only wanting to talk to me about the baby.
And then whenever I see anyone who doesn't want to talk about the baby, that is all I want to talk about.
And the fact that DH isn't in bed yet, he is watching a movie and so I am just bumpin until he decides to get his butt in here.
I really hate when something new happens and women who have already had kids say "Just wait..." in a knowing manner like I have no reason to be excited for something little. Don't tell me you didn't get excited for little things like your belly button starting to pop or maybe a little baby kick or something.
Mostly I'm talking about my sister.
I agree! "Just wait. . " is sooo condescending. I hadn't heard many statements like this until I finally saw my in-laws yesterday.
I don't care if they are obsessed with all things baby related they are rude and controlling and I have been through some non-baby related stuff they can't even imagine so they can kiss it.
