When was the first time you actually felt "old?"

I was 18, teaching a ballet class to a group of 7 year olds. I told them their hands looking like Gumby's hands. They looked at me like I grew three more heads!

When i was 30 going to beauty school with a bunch of 19 year olds. But we all got along great. I am relatively immature for my age. Wink

DH is in a band and the average fan is 17yo. I think I fit in perfectly with them. They think I'm someone's mom.

When I see highshool girls and think they need to wear more clothes and act more mature. Also, when people are blaring music from their car.

Oh, and when I can say "about 15 years" and tell a story that I remember. That makes me feel old.

god i've been feeling old for so long i can't remember the first time. how's that for old? hah hah.

i think i feel old any time i'm around younger people (so like freshman when i was a senior - hs or college) or there's a song on the radio that i liked back in the day. those types of things generally make me feel old. but there's a billion other things that make me feel old these days too. sad. ::sigh::

Happened just a few weeks ago. I was teaching color guard and the girls were acting like they were 90 yrs. old that couldn't move. I said that I was double most of their ages and could still do whatever it was. I meant it to be sarcastic, but sadly I really am double some of them. That kinda hurts.

Im about 8 years older than my fiance. Sometimes Ill say "dont you remember this" and he has no clue......makes me feel old.

Also about the post on ace of base. I had to laugh at that. I too have mentioned some random bands that were popular for the minute and others do not remember.

When I was in college, I coached a 7th grade volleyball team. When I realized that they were graduating, I felt old. They're now juniors in college....::sigh::

The other weekend I was around my DH's 8yr old half-sister's, and backstreet boys came on, so naturally, I sang along. They asked "Who are the Backed Street Boys?" ? ?I said it was my generations version of the Jonas Brothers...
