  I really like it because it's not attached to the wall, and opens with your foot. It's especially handy when I'm carrying dd and groceries and don't have a free hand.

  If you are looking for sturdy, I would recommend one that screws in to the wall.  We had (not have - anymore) a pressure-mounted gate that contained my 6 month old son in his walker, but my 18-month old nephew came over and plowed right through that gate in about 10 seconds.
