For the last few hours I have been having a dull achy pain on my right side. It seems to be getting worse now. Do you think I should call my Drs on-call number? I will feel like a tool if nothing is wrong, but it's really starting to hurt.
My rule is lay down or put your feet up at least and have some water. If it doesn't go away in 30 mins or gets worse call. It usually is RLP but you never know.

Sounds like nothing more than your baby taking up space in your body. As he continues to grow there becomes less room, therefore pushing all you "innards" wherever they can squeeze.
I agree with putting your feet up, or laying on your left side. Drink some water too. See if that helps after a while. If it gets worse, call your doctor.
It could very well be nothing, but, why take chances. It's their job to answer every question. My MW's say, that if you ever ask yourself, "should I call?" then, the answer is usually yes, so just give a quick call. GL

Thanks ladies. I think I will lay down and see how it goes. I just had some major diarrhea (way TMI, I know) so maybe I am just having some intestinal issues. I will call my Dr if it gets worse or isn't gone by tomorrow.
Plus if I call now, they will just send me to L&D.
You would know if it were your appendix- it's EXCRUCIATING and will not go away at all!!! (I had mine taken out a few years ago)... I actually get more "twinges" while laying down and they go away if I stand up.... although RLP usually gets better if you lay down. Sounds like it could just be cramping from GI issues (I have had three bouts of food poisoning during this pregnancy...). Drink a lot of Gatorade and Ensure if you think you;re losing nutrients (this was my dad's advice- he's a physician and my OB seconded this) to avoid any dehydration/electrolyte imbalance from the diarrhea. Every twinge makes me worry...but like PP said...remember the 511 rule:) Call in the morning if its not better. Obviously if there's bleeding call ASAP! GL!

My appendix was tucked behind my colon, and I had diarrhea & vomiting for about a month prior to going to the ER for a dull continuous pain. My CBC was perfect but they did a CT to be sure, and sure enough it was enormously inflamed and I had emergency surgery.
Everyone experiences pain differently, even from the same causes. IMO
Re: Should I call my Drs on-call number?
If you think you should, then yes!
I vote to lay on the left, feet up, with water for an hour or so.
Truly, sounds like "growing pains" and RLP...if you were aching all the way across or around your back, I'd say call.
But for this, I'd slow down tonight & then call in the am.?

My doctor gave me the 511 rule.
5 pains that are in a pattern and measurable, not just regular discomfort, lasting at least 1 minute each,in a duration of 1 hour
If it's not that, he says it's just one of the discomforts of pregnancy more than likely. Drink some water and lay on your left side.
