Really? Nipples leaking now?

So I don't know if I missed this section in all my pregnancy books...but my nipples are leaking. Well..one nipple. I just have this clear liquid coming from my right boob and I don't even know it is about to happen. I just happened to look down at my shirt and noticed this circle of moisture right where my nipple is. I am shocked!!! I am not even 6 months pregnant yet and i thought this happened after the baby came......

 

Is anyone else experiencing this? What do you do? Is it normal? Does it get worse?

    My nipples start leaking a very small amount of clear liquid yesterday.  I called my sister in a mini panic.  It's normal, it gets worse, and I don't think there is anything you can do, except wear those nipple pad things if they are leaking bad.

    Yep this is normal...  I am constantly cleaning them cause they get all crusty....

    Yeah, I woke up with a spot a couple days ago. Wasn't sure what it was until later in the day when it started leaking again. I called my mom, and she said she started leaking around the same time when she was pregnant with me. It totally grosses out DH..lol!

    yup, my right one more than my left.  I bought some disposable nursing pads to use when it starts to get worse...and it will.

    I'm sorry you're guys are leaking and have crusty nipples?! Ok i deffinatly didn't sign up for that!! Huh?

    Thank you for the heads up, at least i'll be a little bit better prepared now i've heard about this pre-baby leaking, time to get the nipple pads out!

    Thank you Ladies! I feel better that it is normal. I guess I will have to drive to Target and get some breast shield type thingies......the joys of being pregnant! :)

    I started leaking both white and clear a couple of weeks ago..

    I started at 16 weeks.  Definately a good idea to get some nursing pads.  You'll need them a lot later even if you don't BF.
