Dr. Appt. today/ weight gain

Not another weight gain post!?

At my appointment today I'm measuring 15.5 cm, which is good! But I'm up 12 lbs. I think all of it is in my boobs! My doctor said she's not too worried about it because my blood pressure was 106/64 and it's always that low. Just eat healthier, and be concious of what I'm eating. Ugh!!

I feel really good though, and I think I look fine. I probably could've gained a few pounds before bfp anyways, I was really thin.?

Any tips for eating healthier food? ?

  • I need some healthy eating tips as well.  I did really well for the first 12 weeks but now all I want is every fast food place -  ARBY's is calling my name right now!!! YUMMY!
  • I guess I was just mostly surprised! I don't look like I've gained 12 lbs.

  • I'm up about 18+ already and I eat incredibly healthy and run everyday.  Some people just gain more.  Relax.

  • drink more water!
  • I enter in my daily intake on baby fit a few days a week, that keeps me on track, I don't want to have to document that I scarfed down that 1000 calorie milkshake so I don't!

  • Just be smart.

I met Nate for Subway today for lunch & while I really, really, REALLY wanted a bag of Doritos, I opted for apples.

    & I chug water constantly.

& I've started eating fruit for dessert instead of ice cream & cookies.

  • I am just now back up to my pre-pregnancy weight. I lost 4 pounds during the first tri due to being full/nauseated all the time. Week 13 I gained 2 pounds, and week 14 I gained 2 pounds, then nothing between 14 and 15. I use the What to Expect weight tracker on their website, and weigh myself only 1x a week. It's been really helpful for me to see it! Plus, you can print it and take it to the doctor to show your trends. I think it's supposed to average 1 or 2 pounds a week from this point forward, but it's different for everyone! It's really hard when all you can stand to think about eating is mashed potatoes and gravy! Big Smile
  • Love the Book, Feed The Belly! It has great tips for for meal plans and getting the most nutrient bang for your calorie bucks. Definitely load up on the fruits and veggies and have a small serving of protein w/ every meal.
  • I've been trying to use the Belly Fit meal tracker and also meal planning.  If I plan a week of meals ahead of time and then make sure I have the fixings, I'm more likely to stick to it and not stop for fast food or order pizza!
  • I have been eating lots of veggies and lots of fruit and of course about once a week I splurge on something bad like fast food.  I have lost 2 pounds so far and I walk every day and work on the elipical.  For snacks I have mostly carrots or apples.  This has helped me anyway.
