I'm a Special Ed Teacher.. just wanna intro :)

Hi all!

You can usually find me on the first tri board but I wanted to introduce myself here as well. I am a special education teacher and have been for the past 6 years. Teaching first grade self-contained in September. Just read some questions about IEPs and special needs so I wanted to let you all know that I'd be more than happy to help with any questions regarding learning disabilities, speech and language impairements, emotional disturbances, IEPs, parental rights, etc.

I'm totally NOT a know-it-all authority on special needs by ANY MEANS... just a caring teacher and person who likes to lend an ear.

Nice to meet you. I would love to talk to you sometime. I have been going through hell with our IEP and special education people. I am seriously conisidering home schooling! LOL
