Funny kid toy, surprised that he likes it PIP

Yes, trying to lighten the mood, and when you see the pic below, you will see why this should do the trick.

Lil J has become ATTACHED to this ugly octopus that my mother made for him.

The full details are in my blog (in sig), but I just HAVE to share a picture :)  Oh, and one of the only pics that I can share of Lil J - enjoy the super creepy octopus doll......

    *snort*  It's the face, something about the face is a little creepy.  But so cute that Lil J loves it! ( I might fear it would eat me in the night or something!) Surprise

    I actually had one just like that when I was a little kid!  My aunt had made it for me, and I loved it.  Too funny!

    It kind of reminds me of those homemade sock monkey toys - which I've always thought were hideous and a little scary (no offense to the sock monkey lovers out there).  I think it's great that you can spend hundreds of dollars on toys and kids will gravitate towards the homemade thing that costs $2 to make or an empty box or some Tupperware.

    As a little girl, my favorite toy for many months was a little doll cradle made out of the bottom of a dish soap bottle onto which my great-grandmother crocheted a drawstring top.  Inside was a little pillow and a small doll.  When the top was closed, you carried it around like a purse - seriously, it was my favorite toy.

    I still have it saved in my basement.

    2 years TTC with 5 losses, 1 year recovering, 6 months applying for adoption approval, and almost a year waiting for a placement. Then, a miracle BFP at age 36!

    Awww...cute that he is SO attached...but yeah, it's a little creepy looking!  I always tell DH no need to buy so many toys, DD loves to bang around measuring cups and spoons the best!  Also, she would love to get her hands on our car keys, remote control or cell phones...the "baby" versions just don't interest her like the real thing!
