I work part time - some from home and some at the office - at the same job I used to do fulltime in the office. I am not required to have childcare, but I agree with pp that is not common. I jobshare with another mom who also works part time from home. I have VERY flexible hours. But I think that many of the women here who work part time from home are either working at their same job like me, or doing the same job on a freelance or contract basis.
I was able to keep DD with me fulltime until almost 9mo, but after that she was too active to get anything done and I put her in mother's day out for 15 hours a week to let me get the majority of my work done then. It's a compromise that has worked welll for me. I did move her to fulltime daycare 3 days a week when she was 19mo because I wanted to work more - but now work is slow for the summer and I've reduced her hours to just 2 MDO days per week (10hr/wk).

I rent personalized lawn storks to announce the birth of new babies as well as a wide variety of whimsical signs for birthdays, weddings and more! I rent about 20-30 a month for $55-$85 each. It's really fun to help people celebrate and it brings in a nice side income. I am able to easily fit this into my busy day with my 3 kids. www.Sweet-Greetings.com

Re: Hello? Just a quick question.
Hello!
I don't work from home - I'm lucky that DH's salary is enough for us to live on without having to sacrifice anything.
My friends that do work from home MUST provide childcare for their kid(s) when they are working. It all depends on the type of job you do from home.
I know that there are moms on here that do work from home and hopefully some can chime in and tell you about it!
