DD went to grandma and grandpa's on Sunday and I think if it were up to her, she would stay forever. I'm ready for her to come home and last night when I went to talk to her on the phone, she wouldn't even talk to me and I was so sad. She is coming back on Wednesday.
She does have her cousin that is the same age over there to play with so I understand that but, 4 days?
Re: How long could your 2-3yo stay away from home?
I'm not sure. When we went on our honeymoon, DS spent the first weekend with my parents. That Sunday, my IL's picked him up and at that time we lived in an upstairs apartment in their home. They stayed with DS the whole week, but he was in his house.
I don't think DS has been out of the house with out us for more than 2-3 days.
As long as I would let her. When she goes to her grandparents house, I usually have to chase her down to get her to come home. The last time she yelled "no, I want to stay here with grammy!" She would live there if we let her and why wouldn't she want to? She gets to drink juice boxes all the time, go to McDonalds and watch as many movies as she wants with gramma in her bed.
