when did you introduce a pacifier? LO is only 19 days old but we're wondering when would be a good time? Especially as he hates the car & i think a pacifier would help him when he's on a car ride,
Tried at 14 days old but it didn't work out so well, had a lot of trouble breastfeeding that day. Tried again at 21 days old (he got circumcised that day) and we haven't had any issues since. He loves the paci and also still loves to BF.
I waited too long. We offered it early but he rejected it. I've tried occassionally each week, but e are now 9 weeks old and he still rejects it. I bought two new types of pacies yesterday to give a try. I hope he takes one of them but am concerned we waited too long.

I think this is us too. We first gave him a paci at about 2 weeks and he just isn't into it. We gave him our fingers to suck on when he was a few days old, though, and he's still more than happy to suck on them all day. Really wish we would've gone right for the pacifier.
I did at four days when I was becoming a human pacifier and needed a break. It worked for him-no real nipple confusion (maybe a few rough transition days) and now he only takes one when he really needs it-he'll spit it back out if we offer it and he doesn't want it.
