Paige slept 10-6 ish every night for a few weeks, and now she won't do that! She is waking up around 3 again. ?Ugggghh! I am so tired!?

Is this normal??

  • Sometimes!Any chance she's growth spurting??If she's draining feedings try making them larger or more frequent so she can get all the calories she needs during day time hours. It's SOOO hard when you get good sleep and then it stops. ?It's WAY harder than when you're in the groove of being sleep deprived.And... can I say how jealous I am that she started STTN this early??
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

  • That's exactly what happened with James. He is now STTN again most nights, but it took a few weeks.

I wish I could feed her more during the day, but she really isn't an eager eater at all - ever. ?And yes, you are right...getting used to sleeping all night then having it taken away sucks!

My pedi was shocked at how little she eats, and said she should be growth spurting soon. ?So how do I get her to eat more???

  • Did your pedi mention anything about adding rice cereal to bottles? That's what they had us do with James because we couldn't get him to eat more than about 20 oz a day when he was that age.

I know a lot of people say not to do this and that babies can even choke on rice cereal in their bottles, but it was what our pedi recommended and it worked fine for us. Don't do it without asking your pedi though!

  • Brady STTN for a week at 12 weeks. Then after that week went back to waking once a night. Then as time progressed, he was waking multiple times a night by 5 months. We ended up having to do sleep training. But I am jealous for LO did it so early! I am sure she will go back to it soon. Good luck!
