Eczema

Mommy's with LO's that have eczema HELP!  My LO has a small bit of eczema but it seems to be getting a little worse.  What do you use on your babies?  I am using Burt's Bees baby wash and lotion and Almay Pure sunscreen.  Any suggestions would be great!

Re: Eczema

  • I use 1% hydrocortizone (sp) cream twice a day for breakouts (per pedi). I also use aveeno baby wash and lotion every night. That does the trick.

  • DS has had eczema since he was born and is breaking out in spots on his legs again=( I use Aquaphor or a 1.5% cortizone cream he got from the pedi a year ago. Just make sure to lotion DC up after bathtime (I use Aveeno lotion), then put the cream on a few times a day. Oh, and because of his sensitve skin he can only use baby wash with no scents (plain Johnson & Johnson) HTH!!
  • Our pedi suggests cetaphil wash and lotion.  That seems to help DS.

My pedi also said to use this and it worked instantly.

  • DS has bad eczema. Dove sensitive skin soap for baths, aquaphor slathered all over his patches, and the DR put him on zyertec.

  • The big problem is that its mainly on her face.  It's just little spots so I don't know if I should be putting the hydrocortizone cream on her face.

That's where DS's was worse, on his cheeks. I just put a thin layer on. His would flare up with carrots, so I still watch his carrot intake. GL!
