When was your first apt?

in 1st Trimester

I've been reading several posts and noticing that many of you saw your doctor around 5 weeks... I'm not scheduled for my first appointment until 8 weeks, which is fine, I just think it's SO far away!

Just wondering what the average week is for first appointments.?

    Mine is scheduled for 8 weeks as well. It does feel far away, but my doctor said the ultrasound will be better.

    Most people only go in before 8 weeks if there is a problem or they are considered high risk...I know it is aweful to wait!

    With my first pregnancy i was scheduled to go in for my first appt at 6 weeks. That ended in a m/c, so this time i am going in tomorrow actually. Not sure what their doing but i have an appt tomorrow.

    Ours was almost at 9 weeks. I felt the same way, but I think that is pretty typical.

    Mine is on Thurs, but it is with the nurse to draw blood and go over my list of can/cant's during pregnancy. From there we will schedule my first u/s.

    It just depends on the policy of your doctor's office.

    I am going in next week for my first appointment, I'll be 6 weeks & my second will be at 8 weeks when I hope I'll get an u/s.

    about 8 1/2 weeks. Doctor sees everyone between 8 and 10 weeks

    I just went in today for the first time. They took blood and I had an exam since I haven't had one this year. He said everything looks great so far, and scheduled me for my first u/s on July 20th :)

    Mine isn't until 9 weeks and truthfully its making me freak out a little.  My sister, who is two weeks more pregnant than me will have seen her doctor twice before I see mine for the first time!

    I think it depends.  Mine ended up being 6w6d just because due to IF issues, they needed to figure out how far along I was.  I had an ultrasound along with the bloodwork and filling out paperwork.  My next appt. will be at 10 weeks.

    about 8 weeks.  It is really hard to wait, but the good part is that I'll get a u/s at that first visit.

    Mine was today, at 12 weeks!  Trust me, what you see on the ultrasound picture will be so great... just look forward to that :)

    My first appt was about 8 1/2 weeks. Totally normal, but definitely hard to wait. :)

    I was just thinking the same thing, everyone already has appointments at 5-6 weeks!!!! ?Nope mine will me around the 8-9th week as well.........it's killing me to wait!!!!! ?Good luck!

    Mine is this Thursday, at 5w5d.  They tried to get me to go the next week, but my schedule didn't allow it -- but i'm not complaining.

    My first appt is at 8 weeks... my doctor said they see everyone between 8 and 10 weeks if there are no risks for complications.

    My RE sees people for their first ultrasound at 6 1/2 weeks.  At the regular OB/GYN clinic I use to go to, they don't see anyone till 8 weeks.

    I don't get to see the doctor until I am 10weeks.  I thought this was a little late to go but I know that the doctors office is always full.

    mine was today at 8w6d. no u/s, no doppler.  bloodwork was done at 5 weeks. I guess it's normal for 'normal' pregnancies to be seen around 8-10 weeks.  The u/s & doppler is dependent on the office policy and your insurance.

    I had mine at 8 wks. My dr.doesn't schedule them before that unless there is a problem.

    Mine is scheduled for July 24th, I'll be 7w 3d I think.

    Mine is scheduled the day before I turn 10 week!! Can't Wait!!!! I think its normal cause I've heard the dr. wont see you until you've at least missed 2 periods... unless you are high risk

    I think that's pretty normal.  I have my first appointment on Wednesday, which will be exactly 8 weeks.  I have been going crazy this past month waiting for it, but it is finally almost here!  Even though I will probably be 8 weeks, my DR said they probably won't do an U/S at this appointment yet, which bums me out because I see lots of people post they they can have one at 8 weeks!  Good luck to you!  I feel your pain...they wait is driving me crazy too!:)
