I know most people say oh use dreft for the babies clothes but I remember a couple weeks back people saying it was a waste of money and very expensive and something else would be just fine. Was it any kind of detergent that is free of perfume and dye or what?
TIA!
Re: detergent question
A lot of people do free and clear detergents
A lot of babies actually do just fine with regular detergent
It's best to use the same detergent on baby clothes as you are going to use on your own as baby is in contact with your clothes a lot

It's a good idea to start with a dye/perfume free detergent just in case the munchkin does have sensitive skin... eventually you can test regular detergent and go from there.
You don't have to spend the money on a particular brand in my opinion.
I was told by the doctor and other moms that Dreft can actually still irritate babies because it has perfumes or something in it. So they recommended All Free and Clear or Tide Free, both of which are dye/perfume free.
Same here. DS and I both have really sensitive skin so this is great for us.
