Need honest opinions: DH's suggestion for boy name

Hi ladies! I'll make this short:

DH really wants to name our second son Dallas. I think it is cute... but... DH is a really big Dallas Cowboys fan. I would totally be on board if he wasn't such a big fan of the Cowboys. Personally I think it is over the top. I know you all will be honest so let me have it!?

It's cute and ok, but throwing in that he is a huge fan is definitely a bit much...

I like Dallas. My husband works with a Dallas. But, I agree with the others in that it doesn't really go with Elijah. But, if that doesn't matter to you, then I'd go with it. I mean..as long as you don't live in Texas, because then that might just be overkill.

You're right - It would be an ok name if it wasn't such an obvious reference to his beloved Cowboys. I would veto it.

Dallas is alright, but with being a big Cowboys fan I would say no way. Though you might be able to get away with it as a middle name?

I'd veto it. My husband can name a dog after his sports team, not my kid.

AND I'm an enormous football fan, and I still feel that way.

LOL! Dallas sounds perfect in comparison.

Seriously, Dallas isn't so bad but I'd also have to say that it sounds very over the top with your DH being a big Dallas fan. If everyone knows that, then naming your son Dallas will kind of become a joke and it shouldn't be!

Dallas is cute....but that IS going overboard! In my opinion,the whole idea of him being a Cowboys fan takes away the cuteness of naming your baby Dallas!!!
