NBR: your july 4th?

the 4th of july was always my favorite holiday as a kid, and i'm excited to start having great 4ths with our little sprout.

we've been going out of town to see family on july 4 for years, and we've never seen fireworks in dallas. where do you watch fireworks? what do you usually do on the 4th?

    we've done the same thing for the 4th every year for as long as i can remember. we're going to gleneagles to watch the fireworks, eat dinner, drink... itll be fun. if we didnt do that, id prob stay up here in mckinney and go to their big fireworks stuff. it looks like fun, but i don't break tradition.

    I watched the fireworks at Addison last year.  They had live music and an air show before the fireworks.  We plan on doing the same this year, it's on the 3rd.

    We can see the Frisco fireworks at the soccer fields from our house.  We'll probably grab a bottle of wine and walk to the end of the block with my BFF and watch with her family.

    We are having a bbq at the house.  My mom will be in town to pickup my sisters and DH volunteered to host the bbq.   We can see fireworks (the Dr. Pepper stadium)  from our house so we will probably do that.  I hate to be in big crowds when it is hot. (I get really aggravated and people easily pisss me off.)

    I am the exact same way!  I am thinking we might do something similar here at our house since the fireworks don't start until maybe 9pm and ike is in bed by 7:30/8pm.  Anyone wanna come over?

    My parents live in the country... So we will be going to their house for lots of BBQ, games, fun, and fireworks : )

    My 78yo Grandmother will be staying with us Saturday night and A goes to bed at 7, so my guess is that we'll be doing a whole lot of nothing :(

    I'm bummed because I love the 4th.

    Precisely why we don't go to the big fireworks shows - I've been to Addison and have been stuck in traffic for hours trying to get out, no gracias.

    T is spending the 4th with her grandparents; DH and I are going to our friend's annual 4th of July party in Arlington - I plan to sit by the pool, drink, play volleyball, go on the jetski and let my DH drive home.  :D  Buglet will come home on Sunday so I'm going to SLEEP IN.  w00t!

    We're going to Eagle Mountain lake. SIL's/bf's/mom has a house on the lake.  We're going to swim, cookout, play games, and watch fireworks.
