I've tried giving her puffs and yougurt melts or fruit that I've broken up into little pieces (seriously, I can break up a puff into 6 pieces) but she absolutely hates pieces of things! She'll open up her mouth and take what I give her a lot of the time but then she gags and often barfs from it.
I put some little pieces of puffs on her tray while she's in her high chair and she mostly just plays with them but does put them in her mouth herself but she still gags and usually spits them out.
I know that all babies are ready for things at different times and I'll talk to her pedi about this next week but I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.
Re: my 9 month old still won't take any finger foods
I was thinking of adding cereal to her purees to help thicken them and get her used to the different texture.
Have you thought of anything like that?
Same here, DS will be 9 mos. in a couple of weeks. My mil is so annoying though, she refused to understand that he doesnt want it and she shoves it in his mouth! Yeah, he really doesnt want anything w/texture I guess, b/c when I give him the 3rd foods he spits out all the tiny pieces and refuses to eat!
He just lets the finger foods melt in his hands!
My DD is almost 11 months and she will not eat table or finger food. I have tried everything.
