He is good! Sitting in his bouncy chair right now, content. Getting ready to give him a bath when he wakes up. The darn cord has not fallen off yet, so we are still sponge bathing him. I cannot wait till I can sit his little booty down in his tub and get a good bath in!

woah!! his chord is hangin' on for dear life... did you doc suggest you use alcohol on it or not? (i keep hearing both ways, i am wondering if you tried whatever you haven't tried, if it might speed things along.)
here's a personal ?ion - did you get the B... um, circumcised? i only ask 'cause we are discussing baths and button care, and if you did that- how has the healing of that gone?
his bouncy chair! yay! what other things does he love so far? we are building our swing today... i love hearing what different babies find awesome.

Lady- Almost 37 weeks! I can't believe it!
miss MONKEY! hellooooo! long time no see. how are you, sweet face?!
The NICU nursed told us not to use alcohol... but I do use it sometime to clean up any dried blood that I see around the area. (They say that the blood is a sign that it is about to fall off...??)
He loves his bouncy chair and the swing but they are both hit or miss. If he wants to be held, nothing will stand in the way of that
haha. When he goes in either in a good state of mind, he will sit in them for hours!
He is also enamored with his fisher price waterfall soother, that we have on the crib. The lights and music help him fall asleep every night and he loves to just stare at it!!! I would reccomend that to EVERYONE! It is my favorite baby purchase thusfar.

I just got back from a *hot* walk to the library and my dentist's office (to reschedule an appointment). I'm now considering immersing my sweaty pig self in an ice cold bath.
I will have to pop on on Thursdays!!! I need to see updated belly pics anyways!
We got that too! I can't wait to try it out. My mom had it for my neice and she LOVED it.

Lady-Hiiiii and thank you for doing the update. I can't believe we're actually on at the same time, and it's not 1 am, lol.
Monkey - I'm so glad! I loved the classes and the techniques have already helped me a ton when I need to relax. I was up for about 5 hours last night with really irregular surges (contractions). I was tired and pissed that they weren't going anywhere, so I did some hypnosis finally to relax and that let me a get another couple hours of sleep. I will definitely keep you updated on my labor.
Lea - DH cannot wait for me to be back to normal! He is always whining about how cold our house is! It feels so good to be able to be up and move around. I love it!
Sorry about the sucky nite's sleep but I'm glad you were finally able to relax a bit. I'm not sure my DH buys into it just yet, but I hope he's onboard with it after a few classes.

lea- good to hear about the circum. healing, sounds like it wasn't a big deal. (i was having a panic last night, i have read about how to handle all these things, but feel like i am going to draw a complete blank when faced with the reality of it.)

Lady - I totally understand about the visualization thing. DH hates it because he just ends up falling asleep, but for some reason it works for me. But, I also haven't gone through labor yet, so we'll see. I'm super excited to try it out, but I'm not against changing methods if it ends up not working.
Yeah, I'm waiting for news about Kate, too! I was up for a long time last night with lots of cramping and surges, but alas they have gone away. It's starting look like I really will have a July baby after all.

r's- your DH and i have the same problem, i totally fall asleep. if i don't fall asleep i sit thinking "meditate on this orange... meditate on this - hey i wonder what i am going to do after this is over? should i have turkey for lunch or tuna? -ummmm oh yeah, about this orange - can i eat this orange?"
that's basically how it goes for me. not well.
I started contracting at 11:00 last night. They were coming every 5-6 minutes. I contracted until 4:30 this morning and was getting excited and then all of a sudden....nothing. They just stopped. Boo!
BEE! nooo way! when is your doc appt this week? i want to know about your dilation... if nothing else, all those hours should have loosened things up down below.
Sounds like we may have a beebaby by the end of the week!! It seems like they're coming once a week now!!
Lady, as for the visualiztion, I was EXACTLY the same way when I first started yoga. There's a pose at the end where all you do is lay still. I was constantly thinking about what a waste of time it was....sooner or later, it became my favorite part of class.
