1st baby purchase. Nervous!!!

I just bought a stroller on ebay, I am so nervous now. It makes having a kid seem more 'real' somehow. Did anyone else have this experience?

  • I just got my first "big" baby item on Friday, the pack n' play and yes it seems much more REAL now haha.

  • i think ill have the same feeling when we make our first big purchase!
  • We haven't bought anything yet- we decided to wait until we know the sex in a few weeks before buying anything at all. But I just said to DH last night that it's still weird to think that soon there will be a baby! He agreed. I am nervous and sometimes think (even though we planned this pregnancy) "what am I getting myself into, am I really ready?" But there's no turning back now! haha.

I think the first thing we will buy is a crib and dresser/changing table and a glider. When we get those things I think it will really set in!

  • We have our nursery started, its already painted, it has crib w/ a bedding (both were given to us as gifts), a glider, and stuff animals on the crib. Last saturday we bought the window treatments and some wall decor. Hopefully this weekend we'll hang those, and start cleaning up the closet. We have been on the "preparing for a baby ride" for quite a while now ;) we have loved every single day though!
  • Yes, when we bought the crib!! It wasn't expensive at all, but it was definitely a reality check moment.

  • We found a crib & dresser set we really like from BRU, so we bought it along with the bedding. ?It doesn't necessarily make it more "real" for me, but I feel nervous about those superstitions about setting up the nursery so early.
