DH and I went to Home Depot to get some things for the nursery this weekend. Of course, living in Georgia in the summer is hot (for everyone, not just for pregnant women), and it's been around 100+ degrees all week for us. Factor in humidity, and it's not pleasant at all.
So we're at the checkout counter and a lady who, I would say to be in her late 40s early 50s, started making conversation about being pregnant this time of year. She then said "I feel sorry for pregnant women in general. Not just in the summer time, but any time of the year I feel sorry for them. I'd never want to be pregnant again. I'd rather commit suicide. It would be a lot easier."

Haha .. this exactly.
Haha! This is exactly what I was thinking.
Sounds like my mom.
Wow...She must have had a bad experience..I have no clue what I would say to that..
Yikes! Mother's Day must be fun for her.
Something VERY similar was said to me when I was pg with DS. I was sort of shocked. But she was a coworker and I knew that basically her experience (pregnancy and delivery) had been A NIGHTMARE. She really considered the idea of getting pregnant again as a sort of death. The problem was that she did not have a filter and enough common sense to know not to talk like that to a woman who is pregnant!
