I hate the aveeno babies stuff - it gets all weird and crumbly. This is the first aveeno product I haven't really liked.
We have been using the banana boat baby stuff - it says no tears - which is really good and so far has worked - but I make sure I put it on her about 15-20 min before we're out in the sun. Mia posted a few weeks ago about the active ingredients that you should have for immediate protection - I think neutrogena was one of the only ones that had it in it.
otherwise - the other brands take some time to be activated (or at least I THINK that is what I read!??!)
We also use Water Babies. I know it's not the newest and greatest out there and it doesn't contain the ingredient that allows you to not have to wait 15 mins before going in the sun with it, but I just put it on DD when I put her suit on and by the time we're outside it's way beyond the 15 mins anyway. We aren't in the sun long enough to worry about reapplying.
I use Huggies Little Swimmers sunblock on DD (she's 4) and it smells so yummy! We have used it for 2 years and it works really well. I also use the CVS brand spray lotion which is nice when I am in a hurry to get out the door in the morning.
I use the Neutrogena Pure and Free for DS because it has zinc oxide in it--I've heard that is better for babies. I just got it last night and today is our first day with it. We have also used Water Babies (Coppertone) which works well.
I've never had a bad experience with any brand and we have certainly tried a lot!
Water Babies free and pure. it is the only one i have found so far that doesnt irritate his eyes. i tried to just use a sunhat but he is so so fair-skinned he needs sunblock AND a hat.
Re: What kind of sunblock do you use?

The one time I used sunblock it was Aveeno baby and it worked fine, but again it was only one time.
