NBR: I need a new job!

I have vented on my blog a bit about my job not being my dream job...after having Samantha I decided if I am going to be away from my family all day, I want to find a job I enjoy...really enjoy! So I have been looking and applied to a few a few weeks ago. Well, I was not at work today b/c of Samantha's follow up Dr appointments and tonight my best friend/coworker came over...they are doing a reorganization. Which, basically puts our job position with a vast amount of more work, removes established "zones" that divvy up our workloads based on state location and are putting us under a woman who is always to busy to help or do her own job so she passes things left and right.

I am currently looking online for new jobs...I hate this new plan...it isn't well thought out and it is now going to punish me and my coworker/best friend who work faster than our other coworker...we already do more extra projects and now we are going to have to take on more work b/c this new system is going to a push process...whoever gets done with a task takes the next one...we work faster which means more work. Bleh!!! Sucky!!!

Does anyone know of any open jobs around the northland, preferably? I am getting desperate so a short drive wouldn't be too bad! I have a BA in Business Admin, a MBA and have worked for 10 years in insurance...I am looking to get out of that industry so I would consider just about anything!!

    Have you looked at CMH?  They usually have some admin positions open.  Not sure if you would be interested in anything like that.

    Jen, you are stealing my post. I just came on to ask the same question and here you did it! I am looking for something different too. I did lots of searching and applying last summer and not a single interview turned up. I am hoping this summer will bring more luck so I am not locked into another school year. I love my school, but I am not in love with teaching any more.

    Hi Ladies, I know a couple of accounting recruiters and follow several job 'tweeters' on twitter.I follow people in southern JoCo but I'm sure there are tweeters north of the river too. The recruiters I know are on the KC Young Professional board - there's a link in my siggy.

    I would add some more information to your profile. Personal, professional, upload your resume, and maybe add a picture? If you can, try to make it to one of the happy hours (under the groups tabs since they happen every week). I've met some great people and made some really good connections and have only been to 2 or 3. And keep an eye out for the big events - the first one we had had almost 75 people with lots of recruiters.

    I think a girl named Kori is also looking for a job. You might want to see what she's done.

    I'm working on creating a 'Jobs' tab. Where people who need workers and people who need jobs can post the information and find out about it there. Would this be beneficial?

    Any suggestion you have would be appreciated!!
