This is my third pregnancy, the first two resulted in miscarriages between 4-8 weeks. I am now 9 weeks 2 days pregnant and we saw the heartbeat at 7 wks 4 days. It measured where it should.
What are the chances of having a missed miscarriage now? I've read so much about women having them between 7-11 weeks and it scares me after my previous two.
TIA!!
Re: Missed Miscarriage- chances after seeing hb
This baby has a 60% chance. https://www.pregnancyloss.info/info-howcommon.htm
I had 2 previous miscarriages and this is pregnancy 3 (no live births (yet)). GL!
Did you ever see a h/b with the previous 2? This is my fourth pregnancy, and no children yet. The previous 2 were never developed to the point of h/b, so that was a big milestone for us.
The pp grabbed one statistic, but the one that is more important and relevant was actually above it - if you've seen cardiac activity between 6-10 weeks, you have a 95% chance of a healthy pregnancy/ baby.
Missed miscarriages may seem common if you frequent pregnancy loss or success after loss boards, but they are actually pretty rare - only about 1-2% of pregnancies end in a missed miscarriage. I was obsessed with these statistics for awhile - about the same point you are at, actually - and was terrified that we were going to be there. And yet, here I am just past 12 weeks, with a baby whose hearbeat can be heard (intermittently, lol) on doppler now.
You've got a lot of positives working for you at this point - hang on to that and the more time passes, the more confident you will feel.

My Blog
I had a missed m/c last time (see ticker) and I'm VERY eagerly awaiting my 2nd appt. on Thursday. The idea of having to go through it again scares me. I read a lot of conflicting stats the last time, so I'm still not sure which chart of stats is correct. The hard thing is that different miscarriages happen for different reasons, meaning that odds are hard to apply since repeat m/c can be for different reasons. After seeing the h/b last time at the first appt. my OB said the odds of something happening were 2-3% (after one loss) and I'm still not sure if the odds were inaccurate or what.
Having said that, best wishes to you and regardless of what the odds say, try your best to think positive (I know it's hard). Just keep picturing that sweet little heart beating away
All I can say is that I wish you luck, and it doesn't get easier!! I was a mess this pg before each ultrasound to the point of having anxiety attacks. Just try to relax a bit (I know it is tough) and know that your baby will likely make it. I had 2 missed m/c's too, so I know where you are coming from!! My best piece of advice would be to get a doppler..I could find the h/b from 12 weeks on and it has been a lifesaver. I can't even tell you how much peace being able to check the h./b has given me. Good luck, keep us posted~
