    GL! I am sure you have thought of this, but if you have any pictures of G since birth, I am sure she would love them.

    I'm already excited about our post-placement visits -- we're having the birthmom and her family over to our house for Thanksgiving when our LO will be about 3-4 weeks old.  She and I both have already been planning and are looking forward to it!

    Aw, Katie, that is awesome!  I know I would have LOVED to have a visit with DD's mom that early on.  :)

    Good luck...can't wait to hear how the 1st visit was!  We are not having our first visit until around DD's b-day...I'm already a little apprehensive about it, but I think it will go fine!

    thanks girls! it went well, G was a little fussy but she didn't mind at all :)

     She brought him a bag full of clothes and other goodies...he is so loved!!

     The plan is to have monthly visits...so the next one will be in July sometime.

    The conversation was a little awkward at times but she just wanted to hold him and snuggle him anyways and didn't seem too interested in the talking part, so thats ok. 

    We just had dinner at Applebees and stayed there close to 3 hours!

    Sorry this is so dis-jointed..but i think I covered it all :)

    I agree...is it hard to see her every month?  We have 0 contact with K's BM but I would love to have SOME she just doesn't want any.  But I can't imagine 1 a month, but I guess if shes a good person and really wants to be in his life it could be a beautiful thing!  Will this go on forever or just for like his first year?

    how it came about....its a really long story and something we are not thrilled about but we agreed to try it. it will just be for the first year and we will re-evaluate after that. She really does just want a relationship with him and we do too so we'll just hang tight for this year and make it work.
