My brother was just hit by a drunk driver!

We went to my brother's alumni lacrosse game this afternoon. We were on our way back home and the cops called my cell phone. An SUV full of drunks hit my brother's truck when he was on his way home. I guess they t-boned him at an intersection and then TOOK OFF. Yeah a drunk hit and run! The cops found the guys 6 miles down the road with 7 people crammed in the SUV with empty beer bottles laying everywhere. They even saw them throw half-drank bottles out the window as they were pulling them over. To make matters worse, the cop told me they had a baby sitting on some ladies lap in the front seat, with no seat belt on or anything.

We just got back from the hospital and are going to let the dogs out and head back over there. I just wanted to come online and say hello and vent about how STUPID people can be!
ETA: Brother is doing "ok". He is in and out of it and pretty bruised/banged up. But his vital signs are all stable. They think its a bad concussion and maybe a few broken bones. Going to keep him over night.

OH Kelin Im so sorry! I hope your brother is ok. I will say a prayer for him tonight. It never ceases to amaze me with the stupid things people do. And the baby in the front seat without a car seat? Argh.... that is the reason that I say you should have to go thru an application process to be able to have a baby. People that do that stupid stuff with their children should not be allowed to have them. *sigh*

OMG, Kelin, I am so sorry. I hope your brother is doing well and he will be in my prayers. ((((BIG HUGS)))) This is horrible.
It amazes me how many people still continue to drive drunk these days. I am glad that cops caught up with them and I hope they get the time that they deserved. Drunk driving hits so close to home for me since I had numerous friends become victims of this. It is beyond stupid. I just don't get it. It scares me to be out on the roads. This just makes me so angry.
Again, your brother will be in my prayers. Take care sweetie.

Wow! That's terrible! I hope he's okay. I can't believe that a)people are still drinking and driving, b)someone was drinking and driving with a baby in the car, and C) THAT SOMEONE WOULD GIVE THOSE PEOPLE A BABY! Some people really need to grow up.
Send your brother my love and kisses. I know he doesn't know me, but that boy is HOT!! (I love my DH with all my heart and soul, but these are just imaginary kisses. Steamy ones, but imaginary nonetheless!)
