...then shut you're f*cking mouth!
It's amazing how one comment can ruin my entire day and possibly my entire weekend - or even my entire year!!!
DH and I had such a nice day today. For the first time in DAYS it was kind of sunny. So we went to the driving range to hit a few balls to prepare for a golf tourney we have on Sunday. Then, we went to the movies to see "The Hangover" and then for a slice of pizza. Very laid back day, but very nice.
After pizza, I dropped DH off at home and headed to the grocery store. I was only there to pick up a few things - not a full week's load. I saw that Edy's Ice Cream was on sale - buy one, get one free - so I got a flavor that DH likes and one that I like.
Well, as I was checking out, a woman and her daughter who looked to be about 7 or 8 got in line behind me. I paid them no attention, but they apparently paid plenty of attention to me.... I heard the woman say to her daughter "See, that's what you look like when you eat too much ice cream." I shot a look back at her, but she was looking elsewhere and didn't see me. I had to bite my bottom lip so I didn't bust out crying right in front of everyone.
I can't believe I was used as a bad example for a child! Yes, I'm overweight - I'm quite overweight - but this was one of the most embarrassing, degrading, mortifying things that has ever been said about me (that I'm aware of anyway!) I came home and cried and explained what happened to DH. He was so pissed too.
It's making me so upset even typing it here, but I know you girls will understand and will just let me vent.

Wow. Just wow. I don't think I could have kept my mouth shut if someone said that about me (and they would).
That poor little girl is going to grow up so neuotic with a mother like that!
I can't believe people like this are allowed to have children and we can't.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

That would have been a great comeback. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people that thinks of the comeback a half hour after the incident happens. I am so, so sorry that that miserable excuse for a human said such a hurtful and terrible thing. We love you and think that you are a wonderful person! Screw that wench!
seriously. i would have said something. at least when you have babies they won't be exposed to that kind of insensitivity. **hugs** i'm so sorry people are so nasty.

I am the only one who grocery shops in my family and i get alot of food. now, my wedding ring was too tight to wear (this happens with all the rings here in florida right before summer) so the cashier looks at me and says don't you think you have bought enough? it's kinda why you look the way that you do."

Wow! What a rude biotch. I am so sorry that you had to endure that kind of behavior today.
Pay her no mind, but if anyone is ever rude enough to say such things to you again, this is what you should say/do:
"I can see that you are overcome with jealousy...*hands them a candy bar*...here is how you get started on a sexy lush figure like mine."

Also - who says that kind of nonsense to a 7 year old. In 10 years when her daughter is in a crack house or a ditch somewhere doing heroin that mother will get what she deserved. I also feel really bad for her kid.
I know this is difficult but try not to let a biatch like that ruin your good day.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Some people never cease to amaze me.
I was a heavy child and I remember when I was in 4th grade I was on a cruise. I went to the little gift shop all the time and bought candy. The woman said something to me about how much I was eating. I'll never forget it. I will also never forget sitting on the stairs in the house I grew up in hearing my aunt tell my mom she was "worried" about how "heavy" and big I was for my age...as much as we try not to let these things hurt us, they stick with us. I hope you realize you're amazing and that woman is an idiot. I'm not quite sure I could have bit my tongue...I probably would have said something obnoxious back to her if I could think of one fast enough.
