Looking at baby names yet?

DH and I have already picked a boy's name, we did a long time ago and it just sorta stuck. I like Bella but apparently that's the main character in "Twilight" so it may be kinda trendy??? Are you looking for names already?

Re: Looking at baby names yet?

  • Yes..we are the opposite of you. We already have a girl name Adelyn Raine but can't agree on ANY boy names.. and I have a feeling this lil one is a boy..

  • We've had our names picked out for about a year now.
    Due October 29
  • Yeah. We have ideas, but nothing certain for either sex.
  • No, but took us till late in my 3rd tri to agree on E's name!

We have had one boy name and one girl name picked out since we got married. If we have two of the same gender it's back to the drawing board.

  • We have both picked already.

    Boy- Jack Michael.

    Girl- Olivia Jane.

  • I think Bella might also be popular because it is a nn for Isabella which (I think) is in the top 10.
  • I think we know. We were tossing up a couple of boy names, but then last night my DH said he like one of them the best and I think that is what we will go for if this one is a boy. We have had our girls name picked out for a while.

I have been thinking of it forever but DH won't really discuss it with me until we know the sex.

  • I had my first dc baby name picked our before I was old enough to have a baby and H and I picked out our 2nd child's name way before I was even ready to have a 2nd. Picking out names is fun.
  • We've had names since before we got married.

Caroline Brennan for a girl and Henry for a boy- we're still debating the middle name.

  • We actually picked out a couple the other day...

Boys: Logan Patrick or Sean Patrick (Patrick is FIL name)

Girls: Eliza Grace or Eliza Renee (Eliza is my grandma's name)

  • We only recently kind of started talking names.  I want to, but he doesn't.  I don't know.  I've made a list but he hasn't really given me his input.  But, I guess it's okay...I'm only 8 1/2 weeks at this point...we have a while to go.

  • Yes, we have a girl's name already.  We are still trying to decide on a boy's name now.
  • I too am so having the Twilight issue.  I'll admit I love the books . . . pathetically.  But my husband (who is so difficult to agree with on names) loved the name Bella before we even knew about the connection and I loved it too.  And now, although we both still love it, we just don't think we can use it because everybody and their brother will think we've chosen it because of that book.  So we're back to square one where neither of us can agree on names for boys or girls.  Except for using his dad's name David for either a middle or first name, but using a different name to actually call a boy by.

  • we already have both a girl & boy name picked out...so we are good to go once we find out the gender!
  • We have a girl's name picked out...my husband wants DS to be named after him if we have one, his name is Julian. Which I don't dislike the name, but he is not trying to even compromise on the issue of a junior....any suggestions--besides praying for a girl (LOL----jk)

    This.

  • I like Ethan, Owen, Noah, Adam, Caleb and Ian. For girls I love Leah, Melanie, Savannah, Juliet and Sarah.
  • We had the name for a boy picked out when I was 6 months pg with my son.  My dad passed away when I was pg last time, but we had already told him that Eli's name would be Elijah Matthew and I didn't want to change it.  So the next will be after our dad's: William "Liam" David

  • We had our names picked out before we were even married :)
  • Yes. We have both a boy name and a girl name picked out.

Boy: Jaime Rey (its after my DHs uncle that passed away)

Girl: Khyler Rae (we just love the name Khyler for a girl.. and Rae after DHs brother)

Seems kind of funny.. the boy has a boy/girl name and the girl has a boy name.. ROFL..

  • We have a boy's named picked (Wesley David), but are having troubles picking a girl's name. We decided to wait until we find out the sex in August to worry about it.
  • My husband has been thinking about names ever since we were engaged, so it was only appropriate that his first "daddy gift" was a baby name book that I gave him a day after we found out - it's been so fun to watch him excitedly flip through the book! I've always joked that the only reason he wants a baby is to name it. We have a few boy names that we just started talking about, but we've always known 2 or 3 girls names that we'd like to use.?

We're a little worried though because one of those names was used by my SIL a year ago when she had her first. She is now pregnant with her second and due two months before me... we're thinking we should make an agreement to tell each other what names we are going to use so it doesn't happen again (we'll both probably not tell anyone else the names due to everyone always having biased thoughts on baby names).?

  • So far, we have agreed on one boy name and one girl name: Nathaniel and Esther. We haven't gotten to middle names, yet. I'd like to give them Kenyan middle names, to reflect DH's nationality, but I don't know many. The ones I do know, I'm not sure if they're masculine or feminine. DH said he'll make me a list, and we'll go from there.
