Baby Names

Ok now I'm curious

I named my daughter Azlin and I want to know what other people think of the name. It's not like I'm going to change it now but I have always wondered. I have a specific reason I named her Azlin that will always be beautiful to me but I want to know what other people think.

Re: Ok now I'm curious

  • It is nms, but it's feminine  which I like. I like girls' names to sound like girls and boys' names to sound like boys.

  • I like it alot. My oldest child ( now 12 ) is a boy and his name is Aries. I think it's different and you she will not come across many with that name in her lifetime.

It reminds me of Aslan, the lion from The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe.  It's nms but it's okay.

  • It makes me think of the lion in the Narnia series (though I know it's not the same.) Not a terrible name - I've certainly seen worse - but one I would definitely find a bit strange upon first hearing it in person, especially if I had no idea that there was a story behind it.?

  • Normally everyone stop for a min. and if they look curious I tell them why. My moms names is Nilza (yes very unique as well) I named DD Nilza backwards Just in case anyone was curious.
  • I don't like it, but that's because I don't like most unique names. It does remind me of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.?
  • I think the name is pretty as well as your Mom's.
  • I don't care for it but I like your story. It doesn't matter what other people think though!

  • I don't comment on the names of living babies, just the names being proposed before birth.  :-)  I hope people would do the same for me, LOL.
  • I don't like it spelled that way, but who cares what I think?

    Aslin is pretty.

  • Only since you asked...

I really, really don't like it.

  • The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe...only thing i think of with that name.

  • I am into classic names, but for a unique one I really like it.

  • I've never heard of it before, but I like it.
  • I think it's very pretty. The Narnia series did pop into my head, but I am sure I would forget that pretty quickly if I knew your daughter. And she's super cute.

PS. don't worry what people thing now! It's too late.

  • I like it.  It reminds me of "Aslan" the Lion of God from the "Chronicles of Narnia" books.  Yes
  • I love the name but I have seen it spelled Asling. It is a silent G. It is in my top 5 Girl names.
