I haven't seen this movie in years, probably since it came out. ?And I had no connection with GA at the time, so I didn't pay attention to all the local things. ? So..... Are people in Savannah really this bizarre? ?I know this movie is loosely based on a true story. ? I am tempted to read the book. ??

The book is strange...but so interesting. ?I've only been to Savannah once, but it does have some interesting character.

The book is pretty decent. I actually read it first before I saw the movie. I should still have it in my bookcase downstairs if you'd like to borrow it. Oh and yes, some of the characters in the book are "real" and actually play themselves or a different character in the movie. I remember when I saw it, I loved it but that was also when I was going through a huge John Cusack phase so that may be why too. LOL.

I was actually in HHI with my sister when it was filming and we wanted to go to Savannah for the day and see him. ? ?But we were attending my grandfathers funeral. ? *sigh* priorities. ??

I read that the movie was only loosely based on the book. ?I am curious if the book is loosely based on the true story. ?A lot of people who loved the book, hated the movie, so I heard. ?
