Babies: 0 - 3 Months

How awake/active is your 2-3 mo old

DD starts showing sleepy signs about 45 mins- an hour after getting up in the  morning or from a nap. Does that sound about right? I've been hanging out with moms of 3-5 mo olds and their kids are definitely more active than dd, so my sense of reference is skewed...

  • Same here. He is usually up for about 45-60 min, once in a great while he'll be happy for an hour and half.

  • hannie gets sleepy about an hour after she eats.  she'll sleep for about an hour and wake up and play.
  • Owen is usually up for an hour to an hour and a half and that includes feeding time.

  • Well we are just now hitting two months. He wakes at 7am and is up until 10-11am and then takes a bottle and starts nap. He then wakes up around 1230-1p just for a bottle and then is back to sleep until around 330p. He then stays awake until around 6pm which i when he gets a bottle for bedtime and sleeps until around 12:30a and then another bottle and sleeps until 5a and then sleeps til 7 and we start the day all over again.
  • She's usually sleepy and hour to hour and a half after waking. Two hours is her max, and she is really cranky if she waits that long!
  • Declan is up at 6 am for his bottle, and he's usually sleepy within 30-45 min later.  During the day, he gets cranky after 1.5-2 hours and needs to nap.

Wow I feel like I have a very active child!! DD usually wakes up for the day around 7am, eats, and is good to go till about 9:30, then she eats again, and is up and hanging out till 11:30ish then she eats again and usually down for a nap for 2-3 hours, then up till around 6-ish, down for about an hour or sometimes hour and a half, then it's eat, bath, playtime, eat again and down by 9:30
