She told me that she went to her OB on Wednesday (a new one since she just moved back from England) and this OB told her that she has a 25% chance of getting pg in the next year because she was over the age of 27. She is 30. I have never heard of that. I told her that I did not think that was true, but she explained that this OB had a ton of paperwork stating this. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Or should I just think that this OB is on crack.
A little back history...  She and her H have been trying for over a year.  They have had 1 mc, and that was mid last year.  She has not started any medical intervention, such as Clomid.  And this OB is telling her that she has 6 months before the OB is going to require it.
Re: So I have a friend who is also having trouble getting pg
ummm sounds a little crackish, but maybe thats just because i'm 32 and really really really really really really hoping it's not true.
dude- that would effin suck!
You do not have to say that twice. I am 31, so along with the PCOS it would bite asssss. I just can not see how it is true. Women over the ripe old age of 27 have kids all the time.
Sounds to me like a doctor that doesn't handle fertility/infertilty very often.
I say jerk.
Acoording to those odds, I'm fertile mrytle cuz I got ku twice in 6 months and I'm 30.
What a looney tune doctor!

I thought I was still concidered "young" for TTC, I just turned 27 and now I am hearing that I am OLD and my chances have already dropped?!?
I sure as hell hope that Dr is on crack because that blows!
