Ketogenic diet or Ketocal moms?

I just want to see who else knows about the ketogenic diet / ketocal, and how many children are on the diet or using ketocal formula.

I like to compare notes with regards to weight gain, seizures, etc.

Also, wanted to say hi.  I haven't been on the board for a while.

    I'm not a mommy with a Ketogenic diet child, but one of my high school students started this diet this year (he's a junior) and it was absolutely amazing to see the change it made in him. He's autistic, and really came out of his own world this year. He made great gains in becoming more independent, and in socially interacting with his peers. When he first started the diet, he did have a couple of grand mal seizures, which he hadn't had since he was little, but once he adjusted to the diet, and they started to wean him off of his seizure meds, all of his seizure activity decreased significantly. The diet was the only real "change" in his life, and I truly believe that it had a huge impact on the changes he's experienced over the past year. So I would consider him a success story for this diet.
