My step dad is having quadruple bypass...

on Wed. He had a heart attack about 10 years ago, he had just turned 40, and has been having heart pains the last 2 days. They took him to Baylor yesterday and he had an angiography with dye and the doc. told them he didn't know how he was still alive.

My mom and step dad really do feel blessed he had such bad symptoms that they found out before another heart attack. He is doing great today, just a little stressed out.

    Ditto to everyone, thank goodness for your symptoms. I hope your step dad is able to be calm before the surgery and the drs are able to fix him up perfectly.

    Thank goodness they caught it now and hopefully, the surgery gets him all fixed up! My dad had a heart attack about 7 yrs. ago and had to have a quintuple bypass, but he is doing well now despite other health issues, he seems to be doing pretty well considering. Sending prayers for a successful surgery for your dad!

    That's terrible and good at the same time! Stinks that he has to have surgery but glad that he's made it in the condition he is in! :/ GL and I'll most def keep y'all in my prayers!

    I will keep him in my prayers. You must be so thankful that they were able to catch it before a heart attack occured. My father had a quadruple bypass right after I graduated from high school. He really takes the time to care for his body and heart now. I consider it a blessing in disguise. Good luck to him!
