I went to my 34 week appt on Wednesday. Everything still looks good & she said he is head down! It's hard to?believe I'll be 35 weeks on Saturday! I feel like this pregnancy is just flying by!

Yes, we are having Godparents. We have them picked out, but we haven't asked them yet to make it official. We will ask when we see them face to face since they live out of state.?
I'm in the hospital (since Wed. 4pm) being monitored for high blood pressure and protein in my urine (should get 24 hour results this morning). They gave me a steriod shot last night for his lungs (and will get another this morning) - but that screws with my GD so now I have to test sugars every 4 hours and get insulin as needed (which so far has been both times I've tested). Please say a prayer that our little boy keeps cooking a LONG while longer. Supposed to be moving tomorrow - looks like DH will be moving without me (not that I was going to help...but...)

We will have Godparents..but I'm really stuck as to WHO they will be *sigh* - besides my mom, most of my family doesn't go to church regularly, etc. etc.
I don't think we will be having Godparents. We are Catholic, but not practicing. I'm still unsure what we will do.
I have my shower tomorrow! yay!

Things are going well- I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead so I get to have an u/s next appt.
No God parents for us and I'm glad we don't have to make that decision because I think whoever you pick someone feels left out.?
Good morning ladies! Happy friday! I'm so glad the weekend is here, not much going on this weekend but I'll be able to get a few more things done around the house before baby makes his debut.
QOTD: We will have Godparents. I think we've made up our mind as to who they will be, but I'm not quite sure. Baby won't be baptized until atleast 1 month after he's born so I feel I still have a little time to think things through.

We had the Godparent talk along time ago. It was fairly easy for us, since my brother/SIL are Catholic and attend church regularly. DH and his brother were never raised Catholic, nor was his wife. If we have a second child, it'll likely be friends of ours that have a child we are Godparents to. Actually, I'm a Godparent to, and DH is a "witness". But he's an actual documented Godparent to our niece. It all depends on the church you go to. Ours had no trouble marrying us, but we still need to talk to them about the baptism.
Having a baby shower on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing everyone again, it's been a while for some people. Crazy how time flies.

Yes & yes. We chose DH's best friend to be the Godfather & SIL is going to be the Godmother. We already have the Baptism planned for December 13!

Day Three
I'm came back to work on Wed. after 2 weeks off and it has been agonizing. I'm not supposed to work past 36 weeks per dr's orders but I'm thinking I'm going to try to convince him that I need to be done earlier. My back/ pelvis is killing me and I can't do the whole 8 hours thing.... Or maybe I'll talk to work about working shorter shifts. We will see....
QOTD: We will have Godparents but we don't have a clue who they will be yet. Well, I have picked out the perfect set in my mind but DH is arguing because the Godfather I picked is his brother's Godfather. I'm sure I'll get my way in the end because he hasn't chosen anyone and doesn't seem to think about it at all.
QOTD: We are having Godparents. We were actually just discussing this tonight and we have decided on the Godfather (one of FI's brothers that is unmarried) but still need to decide who the Godmother will be.
I had my 34 week appt yesterday and everything is looking good. Baby is head down which I was glad to hear. The one thing that i have worried about during this pregnancy is that the baby wouldn't turn and it would either have to be turned manually (YOWCH) or have a c-section. Anyway, i can't believe that I only have one more 2 week appt and then on to the 1 weekers! Oh, and i have been nesting like crazy......almost done with my list of things that HAVE TO get done before baby arrives

Had my 4th childbirth class last night. Overall I'm glad I went, but I think I would have done better in a smaller class that spent more time on the Lamaze breathing.
My 34 week appointment is this morning. I'm praying I didn't put on too much weight (I'd gained 4 lbs in 2 weeks last time) but overall feel OK. I just need to rememeber to ask about my itchy feet and leg cramps.

Happy 34 weeks to the August 7th ladies! Today is my 34 weeks appointment.
QOTD: We are going to have godparents, but haven't decided on who yet. The baby will be baptized non-denominationally.
Good morning! My shower is this Sunday and I'm super psyched. We're halfway thru our childbirth classes & they're going very well, we're learning more than I thought we would - plus its a really nice way to spend quality time with the hubs. We took our infant CPR & safety class last night which was great - we are also taking a newborn care class & a breastfeeding class. Nothing like super-prepared parenting!

He was raised Catholic, and Godparents are REALLY big & important in his family. We will be contacting our Congregational church about baptism & the Godparents will be my brother-in-law and his fiance, who just so happens to be my BFF

Good morning ladies! I have been busy lately and haven't responded in a while. We just had our 2nd baby shower yesterday and now have tons of baby stuff! We are getting really excited! The nursery is almost finished - we just need to buy a few more essentials we don't have yet (I plan to go shopping this weekend) and then we should be all ready for the baby. I can't beleive how close we are all getting to seeing our LOs!!

I've had a rough week - I failed my 3 hour so I went to an endocrinologist on Wednesday and am headed to a nutritionist today to learn about monitoring and controlling my blood sugar...
I have been SO tired and miserable for a few weeks - my hormones are completely out of control - EVERYTHING makes me busrt into tears. My poor DH!

I am expecting a little girl on August 7th.
We are going to have godparents for our daughter. My sister and brother in-law are godparents for our son and they will also be the godparents for our little girl. I couldn't imagine trusting anyone more than the two of them to raise my children if something happened to DH and I.

Nothing much new with pregnancy here. Everything is going very well so far. I can't wait to meet and hold my little peanut!
I had a doc appointment yesterday and everything was great. LO was busy showing the doctor her special ninja moves while we were there. lol They did make note that my uterus is tilted due to her staying on one side, but no reason for alarm.

We have picked DH's best friend to be a God parent. I wanted to pick my best friend, but she has been making some decisions here lately that has me doing a double take. I think for now we will just stick to one.

No major updates. I am still one pound down from my pre-pregnancy weight...don't know exactly how that works.
Anyway, we have chosen DH's sister to be the godmother and my brother to be the godfather. We asked them on Mother's and Father's Days, respectively. I wrote up little poems that were anti-cornball and they even got a few tears (not my intent).
Made it to 34 weeks today! Yesterday I went to the doctors because I was having what I thought were BH contractions. I didn't think much of it, but I timed them anyway and they were about 3 minutes apart, lasting for 50 seconds. So I called and they had me come in. I was hooked up to the NST machine and told to push the button anytime I felt a contraction. When the doctor came in to check the results, she said the machine wasn't picking them up! Now granted, I never had BH during my first pregnancy but what else could I be feeling? So she checked me over and there were no signs of early delivery. I was given orders to go home, lay down and drink a lot. Today I'm still having a few here and there, but nothing like yesterday.

LC has subsided a little bit, but now LO is trying to push her whole self into my pelvis and makes it painful to move.
I have my next appointment on Wednesday. Other than that, everything seems to be normal.
Monday QOTD: Will you be teaching baby any other languages? Not intentionally, but my sister speaks fluent German, Spanish, and Portuguese, so I think it's inevitable that she will learn. Not to mention I sing a German hymn to her every night, so she'll learn at least a little bit of that from me.

QOTD: I thought Godparents were a religious thing??? Maybe I'm wrong. Either way, we are not planning on having godparents. My kids will have tons of aunts/uncles/cousins/grandparents who love them and will be there to teach and set a good example for them.
