How much did your lo take per feeding around 2 weeks old?  BF is not going well for us at all...usually ends up with both of us in tears, and I'm not pumping enough yet to cover all his feedings so I'm supplementing with formula too.  When I give him 2 oz he spits up but if I give him any less he still seems hungry.  We're seeing the pedi tomorrow for a weight check so I'll check with them too, but I was just wondering what others did.  TIA!

    at 2w my poor DS was having horrible eating issues so i can't help with the feeding question, b/c we didn't figure it out for a little while longer.

    I used this alot in the beginning, and DD was always on the low side of it.  But so long as in a 24 hr period she got the low end of what it said for her age, I felt like I was doing something right.

    If I remember correctly, DD took about 1 ounce at a feeding. I know this because she had to have a hospital stay when she was 3-6 days old and we had to supplement with formula during that time.

    Hang in there - the bfing gets easier. Don't think that you will get LOTS of milk so soon. I was only getting an ounce or two for the first month - but apparently, DD was thriving just fine. GL!

    When my son was that old we did 10-15 min on each breast then we would supplement with 1oz of formula.

    Just needed to say I love your ds's first name :)

    Its such a blur now, I want to say 2-3 oz we had weight loss issues so pedi had me feeding every 2-3 hrs during the day and 3 hrs at night, hence why its a blur now.  GL I hope things get easier, and we had to supplement sometimes as well as I was not pumping enough to keep up with him.

    At 2 weeks, I would offer him 3 oz and sometimes he would take all 3 and sometimes he would take just 2 or 2.5.  He was eating every 3-3.5 hours.

    Usually about 1-2 oz every 2 hours at that age.  Good luck!
