i love it! my husband and i had this as one of our top two girls names. we were undecided on the spelling for fear that people would pronounce it (vee-dah). we considered spelling it Vayda or Vaida.
So to be honest this name just makes me want to gag or possibly even throw up in my mouth a little. It's possibly because I knew a very strange, but nice enough, girl named Vada. Turns out she was named after her grandmother. Just yuck, sorry.

I know a little girl with this name. Her father is Indian (as in from India). She's very cute and I really like the name. I do believe it is Hindu/Indian/Sanskrit in origin.
I think it's spelled Vada in My Girl. And now that you mention it, I think that's a good name. I probably wouldn't use it because I think my DH would hate it, but I like it! I think it's unique but not ridiculous, I like that a lot.

Oops didn't read ALL the posts and realized someone already said it's Vada. Still a cute name
Sorry, I couldn't help it. That was the first thing that came to mind and my family has Brooklyn accents. I actually really like the name. I also like it pronounced Vee-da too.

FAIL. I think you mean Darth Vader...
At any rate, I think it is cute. It was on my list with first DD. I like Vera better.

Yes. I was just going to point that out. I don't like the name, but it's not awful.?
