I want to take a childbirth class when is the right time to do this?

    Mine start in August and will last 4 weeks.

    I'm not sure if there is a right time, but DH and I are going during week 29. Seems like a good time.

    Mine starts Aug 23 and will be 5 weeks long. I'd sign up soon, though, classes tend to fill up (at least in our area).

    We signed up and begin our 6 week course at 32 weeks.  I also have a hypnobirthing CD that we will start (more just for relaxation techniques then anything else).

    I just signed up for one.  Mine is when I'll be about 30 weeks along, and it's on 2 Saturday's.

    I'm due in October too, and we're taking our class in August @ 32 weeks...the classes here fill up super fast, so it was the only option within reason!  I'd start looking into them soon - you don't want to be so big that you'll be miserable sitting on the floor, walking around, etc.  Good luck!!

    My doctor said that we should have completed the class 4 weeks before our due date.  It will actually be more like 6 weeks before because that is when the class is offered.

    We actually have our one day class scheduled for July 18.  I am not real happy that we have to do it so early, but it can't be avoided.  My husband is in the Army and will be gone for training for the entire month of September which is when the next class would be offered for us.

    It all depends. We did ours early as that was what our instructor preferred.  The main reasons to take the class early were to allow time to change providers if that's what we decided we needed to do to get the birth experience we want and to allow time to explore and practice relaxation techniques.
