  • I just need someone to summarize it for me so that L will begin tonight!   lol.
  • And, without the sarcasm, I have heard it is great.  It has been sitting by my bed for a month.

honestly I started reading the pages that applied to N's age and read more when i had time...

summary:  baby is tired after NO MORE than 2 hours of being awake...put then back to sleep within this window...he gives signs, etc

  • Day after we brought LO home from hospital, DH went to work complaining about LO not sleeping thru the night (did he honestly think that was possible day one?) and co-worker recommended this book.  DH bought it for me to read ... like it's my responsibility?!?  Anyway, it has turned out to be a great book.  Like previous poster advised, skip ahead and read the sections related to your child's age.  I'm afraid I have what the book describes as an "excessively fussy" baby and nothing's working for us so far.  I am trying very hard to make sure LO doesn't get over tired and really watching for his sleepy signs.  That advice in and of itself was very helpful because I think our biggest problem for weeks was that LO was overtired and that was causing the excessive fussiness.  While he's still not sleeping very much and not giving us more than 2.5 - 3 hours at a time, he does seem to be mellowing out a bit.  I do recommend the book.
