W: This time, I am not allowing visitors (eh hem, ILs) to hang out in the waiting room. I will have my surgery and DH and I will have time alone with the baby - a few hours at least. DS will be our first visitor so once he is up from his nap and comes to meet his new brother, we will call people to come but they HAVE to leave when hospital visiting hours are over (ILs stayed until 11pm last time!!). Only immediate family on day 1 - after that anyone is welcome. At home, anyone may visit... but visits must be kept short (less than 30 minutes!) and NOT while I am breastfeeding.

Th: I have one small tattoo on my right foot. I do have plans to get DS's footprint on top of my left foot and am trying to figure out how to incorporate all of my [future] babies' initials around it.

I don't have any now but after the baby I'm getting one that DH designed for me. I was originally going to get it after we got married but we found out we were expecting less than a month afterwards. It's one that he's got but he tweaked it a little to make it a little more feminine for me.

I guess it's not really in honor of our LO but more in honor of our new family.?

I don't really care for tattoos. DH has some and has footprints of all our children with their name under it. He will get one for Willie too.

No tattoos here. I'm the type of person who would probably change my mind and want something else after I got one. I also don't plan on getting any IHO of LO. They are just NMS.

I love tattoos, but none for me. I'm too scared of needles. So I probably will never get one. DH has been tossing around the idea of getting a tattoo - so maybe he will get one in honor of our DD.

W: I am totally nervous about visitors. There have nonly been a few in the NICU and they have been scrubbed to the elbows. I think I am going to be very protective and a cleaning maniac to keep the environment as pristine as possible for this little man. I think I might post a sign outside the door so I don't have to seem like such a biitch.

Rules of visiting:

Wash hands first

no germs

smokers, bring a clean shirt, if you want to hold the baby

I am sure I will think of more as I get closer to bringing him home.

T; No tatoos, none IHO of baby. I have a c/s scar IHO of each of them!

W: What is your personal ?visitor policy? for the hospital and first days/weeks at home?

I tried to explain to my parents that we'd really like some "just the 3 of us" time when we first get home and my mom flipped out but I stood my ground. I explained as politely as I could that the last thing we need when we're trying to get into some type of routine is the doorbell/phone constantly ringing. She somewhat accepted this (seeing as she has no choice) but we will allow them to come to the hospital to visit, but not right away. We won't call them till I am out of recovery and we've had some time in the our postpartum room and I feel up to visitors.

Th: Do you have any tattoos? Will you get one IHO the baby?

I don't have any tattoos (I don't do well with needles) but I would like to get something small IHO of baby, but I don't know. DH has some already and has said he would like to get one IHO baby, but he doesn't know what. Perhaps DS' initials and DOB.

And this kid is such a tease!!!! Ugh, lots of spotting, lots of very promising contractions (long and painful) but nothing regular. IOW, lots of signs but no labor!!!! Kid is driving me nuts already.

I've always wanted a sunflower tatoo, but like a lot of people, not enough to get it permanently put on my body...If I did though it would definitely have my DS birthdate and my anniversary on it.

I have two tattoos, a medium sized butterfly with tribal markings on my lower back (which I am happy to report has not stretched at all!) and a orchid with the chinese symbol for destiny on the top of my right foot (that one hurt!)

If I get anymore artwork done, I think I will have it somehow incorporated into the two tattoos that I already have.

my mom and dad and grandparents will probably all be at the hospital i am very close with them but that is all Dh's family wont know anything untill we get home ....they actually told us they will not come to the hospital or anything so we will just call them when we feel ready to have them over

I have one on the top of my back in the center it means to over come all difficulties my two best friends and i got them done the year we graduated because we were all moving away and felt we had been through so much. DH and i have talked about getting a tatoo IHO the baby but we arnt sure yet .

I have three one on my right shoulder IHO of my late mother whom my child is going to be named after. I have a butterfly on the top of my right foot that I got to express my spreading my wings on the world and then two hearts intertwined to form a mother and child on my inside of right wrist to symbolize the relationship btw my late mother and I . I am still contemplating getting another but we shall see...

Yes, I have two tattoos. One across my hip that says "La vita e' bella" = Life is beautiful. Then I have another one on my lower stomach that is a star. No, I will not be getting anymore tattoos - I really wish I hadn't gotten the two that I have. Oh well!
