3rd Trimester

my maternity clothes are running out now..

Nothing fits anymore!

I have about 4 things to wear for pants. Two of which are sweatpants, one pair of maternity jeans and one pair of maternity capris. I am getting so annoyed.

Every morning I wake up and its hot and humid and have nothing to wear.

Also I am planning to go on vacation at a lake for about 10 days fourth of july and the following week and have NO clue what I am going to bring with me:(

Thanks for listening!

  • I just realized I had the same problem while thinking about what to pack for the beach this Friday.

  • I am in the same boat!! A lot of my cute shorts and capris are now too tight across my lower belly. And my tops are too short. I have a handful of things that still fit, and I feel like I wear the same 3 outfits to work all week. The only things that feel comfy are stretchy tube top dresses, but I can't wear those to work.

But I refuse to buy any more mat clothes with less than 4 weeks left. I will wear DH's clothes if I have to! You aren't aloneSmile

  • I have two pairs of pants left and maybe 5 shirts (aside from my mat jeans).  I refuse to buy more clothing so I've just been getting creative with what I have lol
  • Yeah me too! I have out grown everything almost. So much for "Buy your pre pg size and it will fit all through your pg". But since I only have 3 more weeks (I hope) I just can't bring myself to go buy more clothes that I am hoping will be too big very soon. Wink

  • Most of my friends have worn their maternity clothes at least a couple months PP, so if you're really desparate for clothes and have a little money to spend maybe you should pick up an extra shirt and pair of shorts or capris so you feel like you have more.  You still have 4 weeks plus could wear them afterwards, so 2-3 months of use total.  I have to admit I just bought a tank top at Target because nothing fits and I know I can wear it after the baby.  It was only $10.
  • I'm right there with you.  I invested in several knit summer dresses and right now, even those are starting to not be as flattering.  Everytime I have one on, I look EXTREMELY pregnant.  I only purchase two pairs of shorts and so far, those are holding up.  But I have only two pairs of pants and two pairs of maternity jeans that fit.  I refuse to buy anything else since I've only got about 4 weeks left.
  • I'm dealing with the same thing.  Shirts are my biggest problem.  I think I'm gonna have to suck it up and go get a few things this weekend.  I don't know what I'd do if I had to get dressed for work every day!
  • i know! I am down to one pair of capris and whatever random, huge shirt I can find. Mostly I am just wearing my husbands clothes and staying home :(

  • my shorts were starting to slide down my belly so I started using my bella band again.  Doesn't have to be that brand....they have them at Target too and it really makes me feel better about my stomach not showing between my shorts and t-shirts....but I hear ya!  I don't want to buy more clothes when I am so close to the end!

As for wearing the same clothes to work - no one cares!  Really.  But may jazz up the usual outfit with a scarf or funky jewelry or something.  And for the woman who said she can't wear her tube dresses - could you wear a button down shirt (maybe DH's) over it and tie it at the waist or something...might work in some offices perhaps not a conservative legal type office but more causual places....as long as you wear the button down type shirt over it?

  • oh I forgot....buy longer maternity tanks to wear under the maternity tops that aren't quite covering it all....I have seen other pregnant women do this as well....makes sense to me to layer and tanks are so much cheaper than whole new outfits....
  • yeah, my supply is dwindling too. one shirt seems too short now. i like dresses the best, but i only have about 3 that i can wear in the summer. i'm just glad that i finish work in about a month!
  • Oh how annoying, I'm sorry.

What sort of waistband do most of your things have?

So far, the only things that aren't working anymore for me are the demi panel style (I think that's what it's called) -- where it's just a 2 or 3 inch elastic band around the top.  Those are just too short now -- unless I wear a really long shirt, you can see a couple inches of belly.  All of my full panel pants are still fitting fine -- some of them are a little tight at the top, but I just pull them down if they're uncomfortable.  Could you maybe buy a couple of full panel things to get you through?

  • Well at least I'm not the only one.

The problem with my pants are that my thighs and A** have gotten bigger lately. :( the panel still fits but its depressing. Soon enough it will be over.

Thanks for listening to my vent.

  • Other than the clothes I wear when I work out, I have 2 pairs of pants and a pair of shorts that still fit. I had to go to TJ Maxx and get a couple pairs of pants and a few more shirts. It's pretty depressing that even my DH's shirts don't fit me right anymore. ?:-(

Since I'm at home now until the babe comes, I just keep pajama shorts and a sports bra or tank top on. It's been sooooo hot and humid even starting at 6:30 in the morning.

Good luck with packing for your trip - try not to get too upset! :-)?
