So I have read other posts referring to how long it takes to start ovulating once you go off birth control, and some of you are keeping track and what I'm confused about is which day do you start counting from??
I stopped the pill on a Sunday, had a period on Wednesday (for three days). When do I start counting?
Please be nice, because I have been lurking for a while, but I've always been nervous about posting. Thanks you!
Re: after going off pill
I didn't start keeping track until I had one whole cycle after the pill. So I stopped the pill, had a period 5 days later, let myself have one whole cycle, then started tracking. The first actual cycle after I got off the pill was really odd in length, then they were relatively normal after that.
(when you decide to start tracking, you will find most of us use www.fertilityfriend.com)
Good luck!!
I've been off BCP since October and every cycle is different. You really do need to write it down somewhere, or use FF. My cycles are 29 to 36 days long, and getting longer every time. Don't be surprised if it takes 40+ days to get your first cycle off BCP. Good luck. Happy charting.
My BFP Chart
Lurking fail.
Start charting from the first day of red flow.
As the others said, day 1 would be Wed for you.
My first cycle post BCP was almost 70 days and ended with medication. I didn't ovulate.
I'm in my 2nd cycle now, day 40 and no apparent ovulation here either. I was supposed to start the medication again on day 35, but I'm waiting on ultrasound results first.
Good luck!
