Sex of baby...what are some of the old wives tales tests?
I am just curious what tales you ladies have heard. I was told to listen to my dreams but I haven't had one dream about the baby yet. Last night I dreamt of fighting off zombies all night! I hope my baby isn't a zombie! hehe!
Anyway, just curious if anyone knows of different "tests" that have been passed down. I know there is something about drano, but I can't remember the details.
By the way, I know these are just for fun and not scientific.

LoL.. this is a funny latin one..
Get a pair of scissors and a knife.. Tell DH or anyone else to hide them in two separate chairs, one in each chair.. Then you have to go and sit on one of the two chairs..
Results: If you sit on the chair with the sciccors then its a girl.. If you sit on the chair with a knife then its a boy..
Morning sickness and acne means a girl.
Craving salty foods means a boy.
that is so weird, I have never heard that one!
Alot of people do the ring test...where you put your hubby's ring through a string and hold it in front of your belly. If it goes left to right its a girl and in a circle its a boy ( i may have those swapped)

I heard from an old doctor, (who claims this has never failed him) that if you stand up straight and someone can see the hip bones sticking out from the back its a boy. Obviously this has to be done when you are really PG.
Who knows!
The one I know is with a necklace chain. You have someone place the chain in the palm of your hand and go up and down three times. On the last one hold it straight up, if it goes left to right it's a boy and if it goes in circles it's a girl. This one your are supposed to keep going and it tells you how many kids you will be having and in what gender order. Eventually the necklace should stop. Per my abuelita, it will count if you have had miscarriages or abortions.
When my friend did the trick on us, it showed a boy, then a girl and then stopped. Funny thing is it was the same for both DH and I. So, we would like this little wives tale to come true...; )
They did this one to me when I was like 6 weeks. I got the boy result.
A few days before I found out I was pregnant I dreamed that my daughter had demons in her room...was so glad when I woke up. I told my husband and he said some dreams mean the opposite. So instead she's going to have a sweet little baby sister or brother.
I used a Chinese Gender prediction chart my last pregnancy for fun and it was true. I believe it was just chance though.
Well there's the heartbeat method which is anything under 150 BPM is a boy and anything over 150 BPM is a girl.
Or take the month you conceived (in my case it was May so 5) and your age at the time of conception, ( i was 26) and you add them together (26+5=31) an even number means boy, an odd number means girl!!
I've heard of the one if your bed (at the time of conception) was parallel to your shower/bathtub it's a girl and if it was perpendicular it is a boy.
(It was true for me- so does that mean I have to move my bed when we TTC next time?)
I have heard the opposite of two previously mentioned ones.
I heard faster heartbeat means boy, slower means girl.
And that sickness means boy.
Who knows!
Now what if the baby was not conceived on a bed?
