13 weeks today

I am 13 weeks along and still haven't told the family. What so funny is that we have told friends first but waiting to tell the family. I personally wanted to wait till I was about into my 2nd trimester because with my last pregnancy I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks.

Is there anyone else that hasnt said anything to their family?

    no...I would have died! this is my first pregnancy and my parent's first grandbaby...I told them first and w/in a couple hours of finding out :)

    The day I found out, I told DH and my BFF. At the time, I was going to the gym daily with another friend, and after about a week I couldn't keep it from her any longer. When I was 12 weeks, we told our parents and started telling everyone else as we saw them. I work with my mom, so knew she couldn't keep it in, so also told my co-workers. It was important to me to wait until the 12 week mark because I couldn't deal with it if anything had happened. Funny thing is...something happened and the calculations were WAY off...it turned out I had only been 8 weeks along when I let the cat out of the bag!

    We told immediate family and a couple close friends after the first u/s at 9 weeks, but waited to tell extended family, work and most friends until 16-18 weeks.

    We did this for the same reason you did. It sucks telling people you aren't pg anymore :(
