Anyone get prescribed a Cat. C medication?

On Monday my doctor prescribed some medication for something I'm going through and I picked it up yesterday. On the package it clearly states that this is a Category C medication and pregnant woman should avoid as much as possible. I called her (she was on call yesterday) but she told me it would be fine.

I'm just wondering if anyone else had been prescribed a Cat. C medication for whatever reason. I took it yesterday but I skipped today because I'm uneasy about it.

It's typically one of those things where, if the risk to mom out weighs the risk to the baby, you should take it. So if its a med you need, take it.

Sudafed is a category C drug and many ladies take that. Ditto what pp said..the risk and benefits need to be considered.

I took Phenergan in my 1st trimester. My doc OKs Category C medications all the time. He acts like it is no big deal. I feel very uneasy taking them. But if you need the medicine, you should take it.
